Earlier this year I travelled to Montana for a spring black bear hunt. That was my first time to hunt in Montana, my first time to hunt black bears, my first western hunt, and I absolutely loved it - despite not finding any bears. That trip wet my appetite for western hunting and I’m anxious to return to that kind of environment.
I picked up a late season OTC (Over the Counter) cow elk tag for Wyoming and I’ll be headed into the snow-capped mountains in mid-December. This hunt will undoubtedly be rugged, cold, and fierce but the elemental challenges and hardships will only make the trip more worthwhile in my book. I’ll be joined by Wyoming native, Austin Nimmo. Austin is an accomplished outdoorsman and I’m looking forward to exploring a new piece of terrain with him by my side.
